ULEZ charges breakdown

  • Daily charge (cars/vans/motorcycles): GBP 12.50
  • Daily charge (HGVs/buses/coaches): GBP 100
  • PCN if unpaid: GBP 160 (GBP 80 if paid within 14 days)
  • Late PCN (after 28 days): GBP 240

Who must pay

Vehicles that do not meet the emission standards must pay: Euro 4 for petrol vehicles (generally 2006 onwards) and Euro 6 for diesel vehicles (generally September 2015 onwards). Motorcycles must meet Euro 3 (generally 2007 onwards).

Exemptions

Exempt vehicles include: historic vehicles (over 40 years old), military vehicles, some disabled vehicles with specific exemptions, and vehicles in the TfL scrappage scheme grace period. Agricultural vehicles are also exempt.
